The requirement
A command centre or control room is a working environment, not a showroom. Operators watch traffic junctions, utility networks, security feeds or dispatch dashboards for whole shifts, often around the clock. The display has to stay legible, stay on and stay maintainable, and it has to show many sources at once without operators craning their necks or squinting at bezel lines running through a map.

Recommended AV approach
For most control rooms, a fine-pitch LED video wall is the right primary display. It has no bezels, so a single map or a large camera mosaic can span the whole wall without seams, and it can be built to almost any size or aspect ratio. Around it sit a video processing and content control layer, operator workstations and, where the room is also used for briefings, a small conferencing and audio system.
The design follows five decisions:

Pixel pitch against viewing distance. As a rule of thumb, the nearest operator should sit at a distance in metres at least equal to the pixel pitch in millimetres, and more distance is more comfortable. Choosing too coarse a pitch makes text and thin map lines look blocky; choosing too fine a pitch adds cost without visible benefit.

Wall size and shape. Work out the smallest text and the most windows you must show at once, then size the wall to suit, rather than filling the available wall by default.

Redundancy. Plan for redundant power feeds and a spare signal path for critical sources, so one failed component does not blank the wall.

Content control. A video wall controller or processor lets operators place, resize and recall layouts from many sources such as cameras, SCADA and GIS dashboards, and workstation desktops.

Serviceability. Decide early whether cabinets are serviced from the front or from the rear, and leave the clearance to do it.

Installation, integration and support

Ongoing care can be structured as an annual maintenance contract (AMC) so that routine checks and fault response are planned, not improvised. Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right pixel pitch?
Start with the distance from the closest operator to the wall. Finer pitch suits closer viewing and detailed content such as maps and small text. Coarser pitch is acceptable for a larger room where everyone sits further back. We confirm the choice during the site survey.
Why LED instead of an LCD video wall?
An LED wall has no bezel lines, so large images stay continuous, and its size and shape are flexible. It usually suits control rooms that need a large, seamless canvas.
